Unity Church In Chicago and Salvatore’s Classic Fall Wedding – Chris + Meghan

Unity Church of Chicago and Salvatore's Wedding - Art Institute of Chicago South Garden Wedding Portrait

Meghan and Chris, currently living in Virginia, met during their work orientation. I had the pleasure of also shooting their engagement photos, here. Since Meghan is originally from the Chicago suburbs, the ceremony was held at Unity Church, with the reception following at Salvatore’s. The day started at the Palmer House, where the bride and her bridesmaids enjoyed mimosas while getting ready for the big day. The bride had plenty of help from her two sisters, one of them being her maid of honor. The first look was taken at the South Garden at the Art Institute. This is always one of my favorite things to shoot..seeing that look in the groom’s eyes when he sees his bride for the first time is magical. Instead of a limo, the bridal party was driven around all day in a trolley! This was a fun time for the party, popping champagne and enjoying the warm summer day. Following group pictures in Lincoln Park, we headed to the church, where the outdoor wedding was held in the gazebo. Iced tea, lemonade, and water was offered to guests. Once they were hitched, everyone headed to Salvatore’s for the reception! The little details really made the wedding, from the signature cocktails to the custom cake topper, Meghan and Chris sure know how to entertain their friends and family! Towards the end of the night, we were able to get some great night shots to top off the perfect day. Wishing you both all the happiness in the world!
