St. Charles Wedding at St Patrick Parish and William Tell Restaurant – Jason + Rachel

I’m head over heels for this gorgeous St. Charles wedding! Jason and Rachel got married on August 22nd at St. Patrick’s Parish, with Rachel and her bridesmaids getting ready at Hotel Baker. I had the pleasure of photographing Jason and Rachel’s engagement portraits earlier that summer, so I already knew they’d be great in front of the camera and fun to work with! Jason is an IT consultant and travels a lot for work, while Rachel is a former professional volleyball player. She even had some of her old players come to the ceremony! Both Jason and Rachel also coach high school volleyball teams during their spare time. During the beautiful wedding mass, I caught Jason tearing up when Rachel walked down the aisle. Afterwards, I took the entire bridal party for portraits at the Fabyan Forest Preserve in Geneva. I think their group portraits might be some of my favorite! The bright, dappled lighting coming through the leafy trees combined with the soft pink bridesmaids dresses and gray tuxes created a stunning contrast. The reception at the Holiday Inn’s William Tell Restaurant was filled with gorgeous twinkly lights, an adorable fox-topped cake (to match their last name!), and an intimate lodge-like feel. It was such a beautiful night that before their first dance, I made sure to pull Jason and Rachel outside for a night shot at the gazebo – making it the perfect image with which to end this blog post!
