Chicago City Wedding at Osteria Via Stato on State Street – Yan + Amanda

Sometimes the best sorts of weddings are the ones planned really quickly! Amanda and Yan had a short but sweet engagement. They actually decided they wanted to have a wedding while his mom was in town, which led to the fast planning. The two had met while clubbing. Their 18 month old son, Cade, made for an adorable ring bearer! The day started out at the Langham Hotel, where Amanda and her bridesmaids had their hair and makeup done. Afterwards, we did the first look in the plaza just outside. The look of joy on Yan’s face when he saw his beautiful bride made me so happy! After a few photos of them and their bridal party against the backdrop of Chicago’s timelessly iconic cityscape, we headed over to Osteria Via Stato on State Street in downtown, where both the ceremony and the reception were held. The decorations were perfect: classy and simple, with a subtle pop of color provided by the pink rose centerpieces from Whole Foods. There was so much genuine happiness present, too! After the two scheduled toasts, other guests also stood up and gave short, heartfelt speeches and greetings to the newlyweds. Instead of cake, the couple provided their guests with an ice cream bar. Lively dancing and music by Fig Media concluded the evening, making the entire event quite the party! Congratulations, Amanda and Yan!
